Zur Guten Quelle in Gelnhausen

Five of us ordered today and no one tasted it independently of one another. We had schnitzel, sauerbraten and meat loaf. The sauerbrat sauce was not sour, it just tasted watery. The roast was tough and not stewed long enough, the bread dumplings tasted like Maggi and the only thing that was edible was the red cabbage, but that was definitely "convenience food". We were very disappointed. I have seldom eaten that bad. Sorry

Delicious great food. The schnitzel variation with the hot fries is a dream. The service is nice and attentive. Nobody goes home hungry. And mouth and nose protection is used in the kitchen. Thumbs up and thank you?

Sensational cordon bleu with well-seasoned fried potatoes. Simple ambience, nice service, parking spaces directly in front of the door.

Today we were on the 1st Christmas day with 10 people for dinner. It was delicious, the steak was perfectly fried and the service was extremely friendly. You could taste that the beef broth was cooked itself and the beer and cider were delicious. We would like to come again. Best wishes and a happy new year?

Really cozy restaurant with super delicious food and large portions. ? The service is super nice and the Christmas decoration with the balls is incredibly beautiful just above the bar ?

We are disappointed! Totally overpriced, eg. a breaded schnitzel with sauce 17,90 Euro! Prices like in a restaurant with a corresponding ambience. There is an ambience here in my opinion but not, rather inn! Stuffed pepper tips with rice 10,80 Euro!

Atmospherically successful restaurant, outside the door there is usually always a parking space. Service very friendly, special requests no problem, food was very reasonable the price (Schnitzel with fries or croquettes with various different sauces to choose from 14,80 €, large drinks between 3.50 and 5 €). Who likes mushrooms, should come here at his expense.

Here is still cooked properly! Freshly made spaetzle - where do you get that kind of food? Fresh forest mushrooms (!) In perfect sauce. And, yes, you can still get chips served today that are crisp. Big portions for a fair price. Very friendly service. Definitely highly recommended.

This was my first time in the spring I loved it. The food was rich and we liked it very much. The conditions were very fast, very nice, accommodating and always had an eye for the guests. The place looks good not only from the outside but also inside everything looks very clean and tidy. I highly recommend this place to visit. You can sit inside, in a courtyard that is covered and outside the door.

Rustic place with traditional German Food. Today was the second time there for dinner and the quality of the food has unfortenatelly gone down from the last time. In the summertime it is nice to sit outside and enjoy the view to the old city center.

As a small group in the pre-Christmas season, we spontaneously got a seat and ate really well.

Such a friendly warm atmosphere, with great food and always an unusual tastey option. Great for vegetarians too.
